Can I try before I buy?
Yes. The first room of each Exploration edition is free, with no card required. At the end of that room, you can choose whether to continue with the full game.
How do I play?
Open the game in your browser. Click the scene’s interactive points to examine objects, keep your discoveries in your inventory and use them to progress. Play alone or work together around the same screen.
Can I take a break?
Your progress is saved in the browser you use. Return on the same device and browser to continue. You can also export your saved game from the game menu.
Do the two editions share progress?
No. Exploration focuses on searching rooms and handling objects; the classic edition has 80 puzzles, or 90 for the Train. Each edition keeps its own progress.
Do I need to install anything?
The Exploration edition runs online in your browser. The classic edition can be downloaded. Start with the free trial to see how the game works on your device.

1898. The Heart of Astrée is to be unveiled tomorrow. But its inventor’s nameplate has been replaced. Explore the manor, recover the original experiments and give the woman who designed the machine the credit she deserves.
What to expect
Explore four settings through eight chapters of ten puzzles: codes, plans, times, classifications and evidence to cross-check. Witness statements appear in the witness notebook as you progress. Every case file contains the information you need, and you can solve the puzzles within a chapter in any order.
Four new settings and a rewritten investigation
This new edition recreates the locations, documents and conclusion. The images set the atmosphere; no code depends on a tiny detail in the scene. All the information you need is in the case files.
The journal keeps your notes and conclusions. Witness statements are written, with optional speech playback depending on the voices available on your device. Success sounds can be switched off.

- The Theatre of Shadows — Paris, 1932. Rose disappears during a stage blackout. Search the Belladone theatre to uncover what happened.

Which devices can I use?
The classic file works in a recent browser on a computer, tablet or TV connected to a computer. Once downloaded, it can be played offline. Exploration requires an internet connection.
Can I play over several sessions?
Yes. Progress is saved automatically, so you can return to where you stopped using the same browser. Export your saved game if you want to move to another device.
Can I replay the game?
You can start a new game, but this edition’s puzzles and answers stay the same. Saved games from earlier editions are not compatible.
What if we do not enjoy the game?
This game’s French offer states a 14-day full refund on request to info@escapemaison.fr, with no reason required. Check the conditions shown with your purchase.
